The official announcement regarding the Arkansas-Texas postponement means one thing: The Razorbacks can now shift their thoughts to Alabama.
Arkansas opens Southeastern Conference play against the Crimson Tide in Fayetteville on Sept. 20, which is in 10 days. Kickoff time is set for 11:30 a.m.
This can be looked at in two ways: First, Arkansas doesn’t get to enjoy all the benefits that come with an off week. Yes, they don’t play Saturday. But they don’t have a full two weeks to prepare for their next opponent.
But on the flip side, 10 days to prepare for Alabama is better than 6 days. So we’ll see what happens.
Check out The Morning News tomorrow for more coverage regarding tonight’s news. I’m assuming we’ll also be out at practice tomorrow for more reaction to the decision and what the Razorbacks plan to do without a game this weekend.
