Pre-Game Q&A

We’ve kind of let this slide lately, but the pregame Q&A is back for Florida week:

Q: How’s the weather?

A: Well, I wasn’t sure when I heard a loud boom at 7 a.m. But the rain this morning has gone away. It’s still overcast, but great football weather right now. So there’s no excuse for staying home because of the weather.

Q: Are there any lineup changes today?

A: It looks and sounds like there will be. Wendel Davis is out there working with the first-team defense in pregame drills. So is strong safety Dallas Washington. Those two will be replacing Elston Forte (a team captain) and Jerico Nelson, respectively. Oh, and don’t forget: Freshman Zach Stadther is starting in place of Ernest Mitchell, who is out for the next few weeks after undergoing knee surgery.

Q: Is Tim Tebow here?

A: Uh. Yes. And he looks very fired up. I just watched him run an option play during warmups. After handing the ball off, Tebow sprinted down the field, stepped on the goal line, turned and head butted his teammate. I think it’s safe to say the Razorbacks are going to see the Heisman Trophy winner at his best today.

Q: Will Arkansas score in the first quarter?

A: That I cannot answer. But I will say this: The Razorbacks better or else it could be a long, long day.

I’ve been a Hog fan for 69 years. I came out of my Mother’s womb saying Woo Pig Sooie. In the past two years, ending with the departure of Houston Nutt, I listened to an awful lot of supposedly intelligent and knowledgeable people in regard to the job that Houston had done before he was railroaded out of the state. I have never in my life heard such BS, stupidity, bias, and garbage as I read week after week until he finally left. What you fans did to this school, this state, this team, and this man, will go down as the biggest injustice ever done to a single man. Houston was a good coach. He was becoming a great coach. But more important, he was making men out of little boys, he was teaching them more than football, he was teaching them how to be winners. Not necessarily on the field every week, but in life. His personal life was absolutely NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. But you just wouldn’t leave him alone. So he finally took all he could take, and left. You jerks destroyed our program. It will take at least two or three more coaches and 7 to 10 years to get our football program back to where it should be. This entire episode in Ark Razorback History made me literally sick at my stomach. You all should be ashamed at your childish, inmature, actions and you should be banned from posting on any Arkansas Web Sites for the rest of your lives. I don’t know how many years I have left on this earth, but I was sure looking forward to following Hog football in my last years, but you destroyed that one enjoyable thing in my life.
