Arkansas looks to get back on track tonight when they begin a two-game midweek series against Louisiana-Monroe at Baum Stadium. The Razorbacks are coming off two of their worst performances of the season in back to back blowout losses at home against Vanderbilt. But after a couple of days rest following a Sunday rainout, Hogs coach Dave Van Horn is hopeful his team can bounce back before facing a huge SEC road test this weekend at Georgia.
Looks like it will be a beautiful evening at Baum, so let’s get it going. Arkansas will start Brett Eibner on the mound (3-2, 3.18 ERA) opposite Monroe’s Keith Christiansen (2-2, 5.05). Eibner will be on a pitch count, so only look for two or three innings out of the sophomore righthander.
And here’s tonight’s starting lineups:
La-Monroe (21-12): 1) Boomer Blanchard, 2B (.340, 6 HR, 16 RBI)Â 2) Jon Prevost, LF (.364, 9 HR, 34 RBI)Â Â 3) Ben Soignier, SS (.370, 5 HR, 41 RBI)Â Â 4) Matt Collins, 1B (.326, 3 HR, 30 RBI)Â Â 5) Matt Laird, CF (.341, 6 HR, 29 RBI)Â Â 6) Jordy Poche, DH (.368, 2 HR, 18 RBI)Â Â 7) Nick Wade, 3B (.317, 4 HR, 19 RBI)Â Â
