So I was taking a break a few minutes ago from typing up an interview I did Thursday night with Jim Mallett, the father of Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett, when I saw an ESPN.com article about former Razorback Jason Peters.
It appears the star left tackle will be heading from the Buffalo Bills to the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade. (Here is the link.) The deal hasn’t been finalized, but it has been agreed to in principle. The Bills would send Peters to the Eagles for a first-round pick, a fourth-round selection and an undisclosed pick in 2010.
As the ESPN.com article noted, “A great success story for the Bills, Peters was an undrafted tight end out of Arkansas. The Bills turned him into an offensive lineman and he ended up starting 10 games by his second season. Buffalo eventually turned him into one of the best left tackles in the game.”
Thought you might want to know about that. Anyway, back to typing up my interview with Jim Mallett (who is by the way a great storyteller). If I get some free time, I might post some of the leftover quotes and stories from Mallett’s father on the blog.
