Oklahoma 6, Arkansas 5 (end of 8th inning)

The Razorbacks cut OU’s lead in half in the eighth, but they left the bases loaded.

Arkansas right-hander Mike Bolsinger worked a flawless top of the eighth inning.

Pinch-hitter Tom Hauskey blooped a single into right field with one out in the bottom half off OU lefty J.R. Robinson. The Hogs then loaded the bases when Robinson plunked Chase Leavitt on a 1-2 count and Scott Lyons drew an eight-pitch walk.

Every runner moved up and Hauskey scored to cut OU’s lead to 6-5 on Ben Tschepikow’s sacrifice fly to deep center field. Robinson intentionally walked Andy Wilkins to load the bases and set up a bit of a chess match between the coaches.

Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn decided to call on freshman infielder Bo Bigham to pinch-hit for Jacob House. OU’s Sunny Galloway answered by slowly walking to the mound and bringing in right-hander Tyson Seng to face Bigham.

Seng’s first warmup pitch went all the way to the backstop — not the best sign, obviously. But that didn’t matter, as Seng struck Bigham out on a 2-2 curveball in the dirt. Bigham couldn’t check his swing, and it’s 6-5 OU heading to the ninth.
