Arkansas ace Dallas Keuchel has thrown his last pitch for the Razorbacks.
Arkansas officials have confirmed that Keuchel has agreed to sign with the Houston Astros, ending his collegiate career. The Astros selected the 21-year-old junior in the seventh round of Major League Baseball’s draft.

Former Arkansas guard Patrick Beverley was traded about 45 minutes after being selected Thursday night in the 2009 NBA Draft. Beverley, who spent the 2008-09 season overseas in Ukraine, was traded to the Miami Heat by the Los Angeles Lakers, who picked the Chicago native with the 42nd overall pick.

Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long has been in a hiring mood today.
The university has also announced that a new softball coach, Mike Larabee, has been hired today. Larabee comes to Arkansas after spending the past five seasons at Wright State. He is the third coach in the program’s history. Arkansas started softball in 1997.
