Turns out, Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino helped his own cause.
According to a university press release sent out a few minutes ago, Petrino in November made a $100,000 commitment to the Razorback Foundation, Arkansas’ private fund-raising wing. His donation is believed to be the largest gift given to the Razorback Foundation by a current Razorback coach in school history.
Meanwhile, the press release states that every head coach in the Razorbacks’ 19-sports program is an active member in the Razorback Foundation.
”I am proud of all of our head coaches and administrators whose commitment and support extends far beyond their coaching duties and administrative responsibilities,” Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long said in a statement released through the university. “Coach Petrino’s substantial financial commitment led the way for the participation of all our head coaches.
