Good news for Arkansas.
SEC spokesman Charles Bloom just sent us an email saying that Arkansas outside linebacker Jerry Franklin will not be suspended because of his ejection in Saturday’s 52-41 loss to Georgia. Franklin was ejected for allegedly pushing two Georgia players in the face and then bumping into an official.
Franklin’s ejection was a severe blow for Arkansas’ defense, and there was some uncertainty as to whether he would be suspended for some or all of this Saturday’s game at No. 3 Alabama because of the ejection.

Man what a poor decision on Jerry’s part. It probably cost us the game. I wouldn’t usually put a loss off on one player but the fact is UGA scored 17 unmatched points after he was dismissed. We got beat up the middle the rest of the game. 41 pts at home should ALWAYS be enough to win a ball game. It just can’t happen again.

What a bogus call by the officials. I was looking right at Jerry and the allegations they mae against him was a bunch of B.S. The refs are the ones that should be suspended for a few games.

Franklin’s ejection had very little impact on the outcome of the game, IMO. The fact that we can’t get consistent pressure on the QB without bringing 8, in addition to our very mediocre/poor secondary, IN ADDITION to a very poorly called defensive game by our D. Coordinator was the reason for our poor performance on defense.
When we did have 2 safeties deep, they were unable to cut off the fade/go route because of a lack of speed. When we brought the safeties on a blitz, we had a LB covering deep middle… are you serious? Franklin and T. Williams both got burned deep because they couldn’t get there fast enough.
Our corners are young and inexperienced, which would tell me that they need to be playing just pure man-to-man. No rules to remember, no schemes, just lock on to your man. We were often beat because we had the “deer in headlights” look at the CB position. And don’t tell me that it would be completely different if I. Madison hadn’t torned his ACL in preseason
And if what I heard about D. Winston is true (transferring because of PT), if he can’t get PT with the way things are going in our secondary right now, then he’ll get buried on the depth chart somewhere else too, but probably deeper.

Ramon Broadway is the one that should be suspended for running his pie hole about A.J. Green and then getting abused by him. I don’t care for these morons talking smack, but if you are going to, at least back it up.
