Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn met with the media this morning to discuss his team's 41-24 season and to also address the future for Razorback baseball. LSU's Anthony Ranaudo just seems to get better as this contest progresses. In the sixth, the 6-7 sophomore right-hander induced a Scott Lyons groundout, struck out Zack Cox swinging and getting Andy Wilkins to bounce out to short. Ranaudo has taken care of the Razorbacks with only 77 pitches through six innings, allowing only four hits and walking none.

Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn may have tried to go a bit too long with closer Stephen Richards. The junior left-hander handled LSU relatively well in the first two innings, giving up only one run on two hits on 29 pitches. But LSU loaded the bases against him on two singles and a walk, bringing Van Horn out to bring in junior righty Mike Bolsinger.

LSU starter Anthony Ranaudo is baffling the Razorbacks right now. They've managed only Jacob House's two-out single in the second. Ranaudo got Brett Eibner to fly out softly to left to finish Arkansas off in the second, keeping the Tigers up 1-0 heading to the third.

Stephen Richards, the Arkansas junior-left hander making his first start in more than two years, allowed consecutive two-out hits that gave LSU an early 1-0 lead. Blake Dean hooked a full-count pitch down the right-field line, followed by Micah Gibbs RBI chopper up the middle.
